Disappointments Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

Disappointments

Rating: 5.0

When my heart feels sad
It stays sad
No coaxing, cajoling
Lifts it up
I give up trying ultimately

It needs time
To heal itself
To forget the hurt and to perk up
I tell myself to let it be
To let the healing process begin

It feels sad
And it feels bad
For there has been an injustice
I have not got
What I hoped for

Oh, I am not the only one
There are scores like me
Suffering souls
Who silently cry
And swallow the pain

Ups and downs
Are parts of life
Better days will come again
But till that day my heart will cry
And will not listen to what I say

Ups and downs Are parts of life Better days will come again But till that day my heart will cry And will not listen to what I say, Very well said. Heart has reasons that head hardly knows, Head may bot but heart always shows.

Nicely expressed. Sometimes we can only wait until the clouds pass...
