Disbelief Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Disbelief

Standing back, thinking over life and all that has been gone
through, wondering how it managed to live through all the
hardships, sacrifices and horrendous effects life has gone
through.

Tears falling beneath the flesh of this being, filling heart
and soul with grief, loss, disbelief and nightmares of what
happened when only 27 years old, never even managing to think
of being raped, yet was violently.

Somehow living, being totally numb and lifeless, never really
returning to a life of innocence or virginity, spirituality
holding mind, heart, soul and being together, through the
mercy and grace of God, his blessings given to this lonely
and damaged soul here on earth.
