Distant City Lights Poem by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Distant City Lights

Rating: 5.0

Distant city nights,
Those faraway lights,
On the eastern border;
Colored lights quarter.

There should be hubbub,
And people club to club;
Dancing nights of August,
Music mellow and robust!

To that far, dreamy place,
With life's quicker pace,
Excitement is now calling,
And my heart is falling!

Those far neon lights burn,
As some observe and yearn;
Glowing colors of the night,
Under the silvery moonlight.

With the latest changings of PH I came across this swing poem, lovely tune I can hear from afar. Excellent rhythm in the poem, and its amazing tune. I have enjoyed very much your fascinating beat, dear poetess. Indeed the Silvery Moonlight added much magic to the scene. Especially in these corona pandemic times, excitement is loudest calling. I know the poem is created before corona pandemic, but as I have read just now, the lovely text sounds most pleasing.
