Disturbed Poem by Tex T Sarnie

Disturbed

Rating: 5.0

Out of the corner of my eye
I swear I saw you pass quickly by.
But then I thought and became unsure
so, I carried on reading and I saw you once more.

Questioning myself, I got up from the chair,
looked around the house and no one was there.
But I know very well that I saw you pass by,
you even brought a tear to my eye.

I just knew it was you in that fleeting glimpse,
but it couldn't have it's been six months since.
We said our tearful goodbyes with a parting kiss,
and only God knows I wasn't expecting this.

Please don't play these hurtful games on me
you can't just appear and then not be.
I can smell your perfume wafting around
so, why don't you speak or make a sound?

I know that you've always been a playful tease,
but this isn't funny, so stop it please.
If you really have something important to say,
please speak now or go away.

I don't think you are who I thought you were,
and you're a ghost just trying to pose as her.
If you are truly evil then go back to where you should be
instead of playing on my grief trying to upset me.

But if you are really my darling and you've something to say.
Please say it now my love before you finally go away.
Your silence tells me that you are not who I thought you were,
so return to your own kind, you're causing despair.

My love would not cause me pain by doing this to me
so, go away now and end this misery.
I don't need this, just get out of my life,
you are not my departed everloving wife! !
