Dreams Do Come True Poem by Tex T Sarnie

I have found someone who I thought I knew,
but I realised it was in my dreams.
When I first spoke she said she knew me
and it wasn't back in our teens.

She said that she had seen me in her dreams
several times throughout the past.
But she never thought that we would meet,
because like all dreams they never last.

I asked her if we ever kissed in her dreams
and she said that we were too far apart.
But as time went on we grew much closer
and because of that you stole my heart.

"Well I loved you before I actually met you,
because like you, you were in my dreams.
What you just said was how it was with me,
and that's not as impossible as it seems.

It's not impossible because it has happened
but people would say that it can't be true.
But we know that we first met in our dreams,
and that's all that matters for me and you.

We were both lost, but we had our dreams
where we could escape the unhappy days.
Then a twist of fate found two lonely souls
who were destined to be together always.
