Self-Inflicted Poem by Tex T Sarnie

Self-Inflicted

Rating: 5.0

I didn't want to tell you a lie
because I know that if you found out
you would say goodbye
and I would be left broken-hearted.

But someone else told you
that I had done you wrong
and that I had been untrue;
now I'm broken-hearted.

It wasn't just the lie that I regret
I also regret that I cheated.
My conscience will never let me forget
and I'm suffering being broken hearted.
