Diving Deeper Poem by Laquory Jones

Diving Deeper

In a room filled with darkness
Never knew people could be so heartless
People still don't see my art yet
I think as a poet that's what hits me the hardest
I just don't even think up the poetry
I just put the pen to the paper then it speaks through the ink
I guess you can call it my "Mutual Link"
I'm just trying to help you evolve as an human being
Together we can teach each other many things
I'm the pupil and you're my teacher on adrenaline
We are "Crucial Links" because without each other
The ships will always sink but as I think
The pictures always links us to my memories
I go to the darkest places of the remembering
Just so I can feel the raw emotions underneath
Being drawn in heaps as I claw myself out through
The darkest depths I guess at the end
I let the poetry speak for itself

I've heard that the shallowest coins lays buried
Through the deepest depths of the Ocean's bed
So I just dive into it as I take my deepest breaths
Until the waves of the rising shores are forever
Laid to rest no doubt the bigger waves of life hits
Harder against the chest I guess that's why some
People keep life on guard so they can live life in
Peace and avoid its shards but does anyone really
leave out unscarred people always screamed out to
"Wear a Vest' sometimes it feels like the
More I descend heading straight for the deep-ends
That's when the struggles begins to deepend
But still I don't weep then because we're made
Stronger with every struggle made
I guess I wrote this poem today just to truly say
That we're not given oceans so we can drown
It becomes a cleanse and rinse technique
A survival strategy against life's unwavering heat
As we ascend to our peaks becoming truly unique
So I'm asking will you dive in with me
