Do Never Brag Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Do Never Brag

Do never brag

One green leaf brags
to the other bare leaf,

I'm still the greenest of all time
and I can sing the sweetest song

watch your words, my little braggart
soon you must be very bravely alert

as in the fairy tales,
there came a beautiful blue bird,
very hungry from the chilly winter,

looking for the green delicious leavelets,
in a most rapid second the braggy green leavelets
in the blue bird's stomach,

so be humble, never brag
it's not just an act,
it's the true fact!
