Do Not Throw Your Pearls Before Pigs…. Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Do Not Throw Your Pearls Before Pigs….

Rating: 5.0

Do not throw your pearls before pigs

Whoever corrects a scoffer
gets himself abuse,

and he who reproves a wicked man
incurs injury.

Do not reprove a scoffer,
or he will hate you

reprove a wise man,
and he will love you.

Give instruction to a wise man,
and he will be still wise

teach a righteous man,
and he will increase in learning

My Father oft says:
My son, be attentive to my wisdom.

Hear, Oh sons, a father's instruction,
and be attentive, that you may gain insight.

Listening to wisdom and instruction
is always a good idea.

But sharing wisdom, reproving, and giving instruction
are not always a good idea.

We should not "throw our pearls before pigs".

Some people are not at all interested
in what others have to say,
and certainly are not ready
to be told what to do.

Then it's no use going on about it.
It could even make things worse.

God greatly says to his children to acquire right path and right wisdom with righteous morals.A righteous man attentively listens to wisdom. Abuse is so sad and person who does it, he should leave such nasty act and surrender before father of heaven. An amazing poem is wisely penned...10

A deep and meaningful write with a great message. Powerful lines imbued with wisdom and insight. The penultimate and ultimate stanzas say it all. Yes, some people are indifferent to what others have to say. It may be a futile act to share wisdom and insight to others. A well thought out write brilliantly penned.
