Do Not Despise Me Poem by Juan Olivarez

Do Not Despise Me

Rating: 5.0

Do not despise me, for my love is true,
You are the apple of my eye.
My lonely heart beats just for you,
Without your love, I'd surely die.

Do not condemn my broken heart,
For wanting to have you near.
It's pined for you, right from the start,
Your voice it wants to hear.

Do not ignore my love for you,
It's yours to do with as you please.
Just take it no deposit due,
And you don't have to sign a lease.

Accept my love, it's not much I know,
But it belongs to you alone.
Just plant it near, and watch it grow,
Amid the sticks and stones.
