Do Not Take With Seconal Poem by Christopher's Dead

Do Not Take With Seconal

Rating: 5.0

Holding your hand, but not too tight,
I might still want you to fly.
Reading your name as it’s carved on my wrist,
Only a scar like a useless white lie.
Going in circles, repeat the same words,
Let me hold you, feel like you’re tired of trying
To give me your love, maybe I’m paranoid,
Speaking of death, did you know, I’m alive.

You helped me, you loved me,
You gave me everything that I needed.
But why has it stopped, the way that you feel
About us…?

I see you around, I hear the same sounds,
The joyous laughs just for when you were with me.
And now that it’s gone, you laugh for your friends,
When I look in your eyes, you look back seriously.
Waiting for you, but you just wanna run
Away from my lips and this dream they call lust.
Jaded, I feel so unsatisfied,
Let me remind you, what you used to trust.

I want to, hold on to,
The way that we kissed when no one was around.
But why has it stopped, the way that you feel
About this…?

Taking these drugs they prescribe for you,
Forming into their mold, until it’s gone.
What they want you to be, isn’t yourself,
I know you’re the same girl with whom I fell in love.
But you’re taking in less, they’re giving you
More of this depressive, unwholesome lie.
Not giving up hope, you’re stronger than them,
If only my hope didn’t make you cry…

Life, so much easier
It used to be, when you weren’t so
Like a widow without wanting time,
Break my heart now, or give me back my
Girl.
