Do These Things To Me Poem by Jeri Martindale

Do These Things To Me

Hold me, touch me, kiss me, love me throughout the night. Gaze into my windows; do you see the light?

Tell me what you are thinking; I hear the passing time. Saying it without words; do I now make you feel alive?

Hear me, take me, silence me, break me as I pass by. Walk into my doorway; do you seek life?

Whisper to me your dreams. I feel distance each time. Faking a
dream; do I still spark your mind?

Know me, show me, told me, mold me into the sky. Speaking to my reflection; do you wish to shine?

Explain to me your expectations, I can only try. Doubting all intentions; do I now only tell you lies?
