(doggerel) Also Heard Recently
Why are sharks found only in salt water, please?
Because pepper water woud make them sneeze.
What do you get from a bad-tempered sharky?
Just as far away as possible, Sparky.
We recently started on 'daylight' hours
As any fool can plainly see
If you always stop and smell the flowers
Eventually you'llinhale a bee
Do you know the fishes favourite song, my son?
"Salmon Chanted Evening"... ain' it fun?
What would a fisherman say to a magician.eh?
"Pick a cod... any cod! ..... Yay!
(yes I am indeed a Canadian)
Even the shark is grinning at your jokes! Port Angeles, you say? My sister used to live there! And I didn't know you were only 18 miles away or I would have visited you. (Actually, at the time I was in Port Angeles, I didn't yet know you existed.)
We took many a day trip to PA and often passed thru on the way to Seattle ball games 60s and 70s
