Do I count
the days
since you left
till the time…
you’ll show up,
briefly
like a dolphin
tossing up,
in a troupe
in deep ocean
too far from me
to be touched.
Still I wave
I smile
and breathe
the entire dolphin in,
in that fraction
of a second
and treasure
the blissful moment.
My associates
say, I’m beaming
the reason is,
your memory gleaming,
sure, not the flute
in my hand,
not the cruise,
neither the breeze,
but your
spectacular dance
dolphin, which I witnessed
by chance.
I ask again,
why do I count
the days, with you
for another encounter?

I have a basic problem with the way this poem is structured. Other than that, I thought the presentation of the message was done well. The writer is good and very creative. GW62
