Don't Rewind Poem by Jo Lynn Ehnes

Don't Rewind

Rating: 5.0

back in the deepest
recesses
(where no one wants to go)
inside a mind
which thought it lost
the fear
the hate
the guilt
is where those visions
from yesterday play

playing clips of
tranquil horror
now isn't that
an oxymoron

what I mean, there's
a tan and rose house
upon a peaceful street

but what goes on inside
inside
look into the deepest
recesses
of that unsettled
mind

that's where you'll find
the hatred that
sparked the angst
which built
regret
remorse...
the shame

when even once escaped

the movie
never
ends
