Don't Rob Her - Poem by Hasmukh Amathalal

Don't rob her

Don't rob her of riches
Where we can't reach
We take no steps to nourish
On the contrary, finish her greenish cover

She has a lot more to give
And forgive
Our treacherous action
And give no reaction

How much weight does she endure?
We go on pouring pollutants
We cut the trees and make her barren
Bring the hell to earth and rob her the status of heaven

Mountains and river
Makes her purer than pure
Holier than holy
And even liked by an almighty

Let us not make her barren
Create concrete jungles on
Fertile land and fields
We are inviting an end

Let the green grass grow
And fresh air blow
With a message to all human beings
To make the trees same try to bring more green fields
