Done And Gone - Poem by David Harris

In our life we do many things,
some are funny, some are sad,
some we regret and leave us
wondering if could have done more
when they are done and gone.
We remember the incident so vividly,
thinking if I had done this instead of that,
things might be different now,
but even if we had changed our minds.
The outcome may have been the same
no matter what we did.

A wise and poignant piece D - and an important truth to bear in mind, I think. t x (Report) Reply

Life is all about choice. I believe that the place I'm in right now is just the right place for me to be - good or bad, happy or sad. You have spoken words of wisdom in these lines David about letting go of 'what if's and 'perhaps's and learning about acceptance. Thanks for expressing it so clearly. love, Allie xxxx (Report) Reply
