Double Crossing Of Frauds Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Double Crossing Of Frauds

Under layers of a tasteful faking.
Lies and imitations,
Too appealing to refuse a perfection to charade.

A double crossing of frauds.
Has many elitists losing sleep.
As their scandalous lives,
Squeeky clean, moisturized and blemish free.
Is beginning to reveal,
The sleaze underneath...
What elitists have hidden to hide religiously.
Their devotion to corruption.
And a seduction to publicly glamourize it.
Since wealth to have,
Satisfies the attention they wish to get.

Stooped to pay under tables,
Those with names known to break laws.
Filling their pockets with tremendous payoffs.
And caring less which foundations,
They may cause to crumble throughout the nation.
Folks like this value their pretense.
Not standards to uphold by age old establishments.
Greed, sleaze and accepted deception.
The elitists live for this.
A way of life intended and meant.

Although...
Exposed facts has left those trapped.
Double crossed by their own pretensions.
Caught with their manicured hands,
Deep in devastating illegal acts.
With a hope that wealth and riches to display,
Will one day have...
The many they've deceived to eventually believe,
It was with innocence that drove them...
To lie and fake corruption to imitate.
And participating in it consciously,
Should at least be considered a forgivable mistake.

"Aren't we all Christians?
Don't we all,
Create our own mistakes? "

-Well,
That depends.-

"On what? "

-How much wealth you have.
And if we determine,
You can afford to be forgiven.-

"But...
That is hypocrisy."

-Of course it is.
And you have to be extremely wealthy,
Not to have known that.-
