Double Trouble Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Double Trouble

Rating: 5.0

There.
And everywhere,
There seems to be trouble.
Everyday to double.

There.
And everywhere,
There is someone troubled.
With them to be doubled.

Our young folks,
Are in pain.
Grief and hunger.
Unable to explain.
Exactly when this change,
Came!

There.
And everywhere,
Our young folks...
Are troubled.
To witness double.

Dealing with issues,
Never known before.
Many live in the streets,
Without welcome doors.
Wanting something to eat,
With no place to sleep.

There.
And everywhere,
Increasing is this trouble.
To see it...
Doubled.

There.
And everywhere,
This trouble has been doubled.
Popping to drop bubbles.

On drugs to fiction,
Life to vision.
Painless and free of all reality.
Many of our young people,
Have been raised deluded.
To grow and know,
Their lives to live deceived.

Here!
There and everywhere,
Popping bubbles double.
Dropping on us trouble.
With no excuses around.
Or found to make.
From them to escape.

Here.
There and everywhere,
Our children...
Are troubled.
With no excuses to make.
For their troubles.
Or ignore our own mistakes,
To leave their troubles...
Doubled!
