Down The Road Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Down The Road

Our hearts were like strangers,
Roaming a desolate road.
Their beats, their constant throbs.
Symbolize the footsteps, taken on a road of a thousand of miles.
would they recoginze home if they knew it. A simple seed planted now full grown.
Sprouting fruits that are no longer dormant.
As they spread in all directions no longer lost.
The miles no longer far, enclosed with every step.
Impatiently waiting.
As the wait now isn't long.
Two hearts that have come to the end of a long journey.
No more miles between them.
