Dream Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Dream

Said a maiden looking up
To the sparkle that was a star,
'Dear God, unlock my cage
And let me go yonder into that
Moon-washed field.

Let me be alone and lie down
To tumble in the dewy grass,
to move about without direction
In union with raptorous eternity.

So now her wish was granted.
She picked up one foot,
She floated for she took relish
In the blue-green sea of light.

When tumbling her pink and blue frock,
Pressed all around her.
Her black hair around it.
Now one star becoming two,
Descended and fiiled her eyes,

With her black hair,
And all dewy eternity caressed her.
She floated into the stars.
She was with him, not alone.

Perhaps this dream was sent by God for you. It seems to show how God became two and the second part is described like a man with long black hair like Jesus. Your poem dream tells how this man wants to give you amazing love and eternal life - again just like Jesus. Are you the maiden in this dream?
