Dream Home. Poem by Michael Walker

Dream Home.

Rating: 5.0

The house on the hill,
white with blue-tinted windows
triple-garage space,
sweeping view over river,
valley, city, mountains.
Genuine beauty.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The house is near the top of the Durie Hill steps and elevator in Wanganui. I see the modern, spacious house whenever I go running up those numerous steps and around the bridges.
The poem is meant to contrast with 'Council Flats'. I went back today to look more closely at the house, from the street, fleetingly.
That led to changes.
