Dressing Dirty Up Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Dressing Dirty Up

Wine poured in goblets lifted.
In hands cleansed and manicured.
Not one seen is detected,
Has misdeeds hushed...
With wickedness on their breath.

A dressing dirty up.
In a wholesome image given.
A dressing dirty up.
Impressive enough to be sold.

Undercover they ripped through the rules.
Burning down the house all rules too!
And approval with applause they are given.
By the people who are tricked and fooled.

A dressing dirty up.
In a wholesome image given.
A dressing dirty up.
And impressive enough to be sold.

Wine poured in goblets lifted.
In hands cleansed and manicured.
Not one seen is detected,
Has misdeeds hushed.
To perceive their wickedness will occur.

A dressing dirty up.
To ruin value standards.
A dressing dirty up.
To cover their corruption.
A dressing dirty up.
With a burning down the house,
And turning everything to dust.

Standards with addressing to give image.
Giving people this belief to receive.
And the people watch their own house burn.
Applauding to cheer it as if it's earned!

A dressing dirty up.
And the people disbelieve they've been deceived.

A dressing dirty up.
And the people disbelieve they've been deceived.
The people disbelieve they've been deceived.
While they watch their house burn.
They can't believe they've been deceived.
While they watch their house burn!
