I'm drifting
drifting with the clouds so gently
gently uplifting and oversteering so purposely
purposely losing traction and sliding
sliding softly sideways
sideways around
around the corners of my life
I'm drifting.

Sometimes we need to drift, don't we? It's really fun when you do it in a car around a corner! Thank you my friend for commenting and giving me a 10 on my drift-ability!
You make us all drift with your beautiful write. This poem is free-fall. (10)
I've got an ear-to-ear grin on my face! ! ! ! Free-Fall! ! ! ! ! ! That is a gorgeous thing to write and I thank you! So good to have you back among us! ! ! Thank you for the 10 as well! ! ! !
I rather enjoyed this style of writing. Writing about drifting with the clouds is a very pleasant perception. Perception of gentle movement with repeating words and alliteration (a repeating of sounds) , moves us ever so slightly towards your ending. Ending that really never stops the flow of this poem, this writing. Writing in this style is in itself a sort of drifting. Drifting is rather enjoyable.
It actually was a very relaxing style of poem to write [chain] and the topic sent me drifting happily along as I wrote it! I totally recommend the chain style verse as a pleasant change of pace style! Thank you Jette for your kind words!
What a lovely sentiment! Reminds me of the old song by the Sons of the Pioneers - Drifting along with the Tumbling Tumbleweeds. I can feel myself floating along in the air, sliding from one cloud to another, but never in fear of falling. Wonderful!
Oh, that was a wonderful thing to say. I remember that song and it did have a lovely sense of drifting along! ! ! Thank you and I'm glad my piece raised you up to go drifting amongst the clouds!
