When the drizzles from heaven
Start to make you cold.
And it rains from the grey clouds
Till the streets shine like gold.
The leaves turn two shades darker.
You hear pitter-patter on streets.
The air feels fresher
Even in cities.
People hide inside their homes
And cuddle together to keep warm.
While others run for shade, you are on your balcony
sitting in Mother Earth's lap blissfully.
It is chilly outside.
But the hot tea you slurp
Soothes your insides
And your throat.
The cars splash muddy water
On children wearing raincoats.
They get drenched in water
As they sail their paper boats.
Soon it starts to get intense
Faster than your heartbeat.
You wish you could run downstairs
To dance in nature's harmony.
Suddenly, a white thread strikes the sky.
It yells and shouts and cries
Oh! You realize
It is the lightning shining high.
The grey clouds turn black.
The wind starts to holler
and snatches the leaves of the tree.
The rain God thunders.
Then in memory comes your grandmother.
You wonder why.
But it ached all of us
To see her die.
Flashbacks into your past,
In thoughts and memories.
You have drifted afar,
From present into past.
Soon, it starts to slow down
Massive balls are reduced to pearls.
The wind calms down
Like it usually does.
The fallen leaves run in circles
As if saying "Try to catch me".
The frogs jump behind
To catch the naughty leaves.
You look left to find little droplets.
You look right to find sunbeam.
You look forward to see them merge,
Into a rainbow beautifully.
