Drowning In The Swamp Poem by Eddi Hong

Drowning In The Swamp

Rating: 5.0

This love of mine feels like stagnant water.
It feels too hard to float on it longer.
The shadow below stretching the sorrow roots each days.
Overtaking my freedom to leave or to stay.

The lukewarm and stinky smell of every corner.
Slowly makes me couldn't bear it any farther.
I can't even tell if she think of me as an ex or a lover.
In a voiceless sound, I'm begging the help from the outside world.

A poignant piece of poetry nicely embellished with poetic rhyme and rhythm. Very heartfelt with strong emotions. Thanks for sharing and do remain enriched.
