a poem by © Sylvia Frances Chan

that the word empyrean was used
as a name for the firmament,
in Christian literature for the dwelling place of God,
the blessed, heavenly beings so divine,
they are made of pure light, and the source of light and creation,
the Angels?
especially at the very end of Dante's Paradiso,
he visits God in the Empyrean,
Dante wrote a story about it
and said he visited God in the Empyrean!
That overwhelmed me
and I'm completely silent about it
I can't call Dante anymore to ask questions
and I dare not say
that I have already been with Him countless times,
that is because of my great love for Him,
I often receive great rich blessings,
ah, I testify here again,
thank you and see you next time
