Epitome Of Greed Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Epitome Of Greed

The epitome of greed.
A fact that has come to fracture,
Families, friendships.
And a capitalistic society.
With its foundation fixed and rooted,
In obtaining materialistic wishes.
And impressions made to flaunt,
Things created to crave them wanted.
Has faded away,
The meaning of humanity.
Making many slaves to a dollar.
And made of paper from a tree.
Inciting to ignite,
Division, hatred, conflicts and wars.
For the purpose to have more,
Of an ignorance.
Already overwhelming in abundance of it!
