Equal Opportunity Employer Poem by nimal dunuhinga

Equal Opportunity Employer

Rating: 5.0

Before the election the man who boasts
about poverty, equanimity, religion and politeness.
Sweet saliva flows at the both ends of his mouth with such lies.
This handsome, soft heart and straightforward democrat
where do you find him when everything is over?

A question that needed to be asked. It is a sad comment on our time that very few politicians are for the people. Most of them are for themselves..Fine poem, Nimal. Kindest regards, Sandra

A take on the much-believed (and in quite a number of cases, much-proved) hypocrisy and dishonesty of political candidates. Can be summarized into three words; promises never materialized. A good read. - K.
