Eu - Poem by fabian le creux

I walk now, head down,
veil of shame; holy departed.
To doubt your existence! -
Quell the fire burning
in the eye of my soul.
A lifeless corpse,
dead in the eyes of
all who knew me.
Friends, to you I
apologize most...
My presence lately:
Dismissive, atrocious
climbing balconies,
proposing new life
in the arms of the still night.

My true happiness:
Flying hand in hand,
laughing at the wingéd angels
on their mystical course
with you.

My death:
The thought that
your words
were not
for
me.

Could you dig in
your puzzle-heart
for the love to fill me?
For years I have been
walking with your face
as my goal. The love,
tender being you promised.
Step up and claim
your destiny.

If not, tell me now that
my attempts are
devoid of reason.
That there will never be
a you and me.
