Even In The Best Of Times Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Even In The Best Of Times

Even in the best of times,
There will be those hoping to find...
The worse thing to do.
Just to remind,
Everyone there will be someone...
Looking for a way to satisfy,
An attention to get that is talked about.
Even in the best of times.
Someone will find something to another,
Evil done to do.
Then make an excuse,
The doing had been a mistake made.
Even in the best of times,
There will be someone not to appreciate them.
And not for reasons,
To keep others reminded...
Of how good such times can be.
Even if wished they can stay,
Kept the way they are.
Oh no.

Even in the best of toe curling times,
Someone.
Somewhere.
And, somehow...
Will not let these moments go.
Oh no.
Without letting it known,
To be shown...
Their ego is in need of a massage.
Regardless of the time.
And who it is disturbed in mid-bliss!
