Everybody Wishes
Everybody wishes for
that one special person
who will light up their life.
That one special person
who will take care of them at night.
They ask no more
than just one love
to wrap their arms around
and in winters to keep them warm.
Just that one love
to comfort them in any storm.
That is what everyone wishes for,
but some seldom find
that just one love
that they are wishing for.

This one is spot on, David, but sadly the 'one love' that lingers 'till death us do part' is all too rare. Many relationships begin with all the passion and unconditional devotion in the world, but fade as the years pass. I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. You are too, I'm pretty sure. Great poem.
