Everyday Poem by David Harris

Everyday we reach out to someone we hold dear.
Everyday we try to make our feelings clear.
We tell them that we love them,
always want them by our side
to have and to hold forever,
through times of happiness
and times of heartaches and pain.
Everyday we express our gratitude
to having them close at hand.
Whether it be with our words
or with gestures with our hands.
Everyday we do these things
always hoping the recipient understands.
