Evo

Why have I lived so long?
Why did I see so much?
Why suffer for no cause?

I have been among the
Bedouins, literate
And went to the Islands
That were of straws…

I have seen and have been
A part of societies
For some time and ever
When there and then after…!

Augustine was my help
When left for Alto Peru
He was a communist…

I received a letter
Recommended to La Paz
That:
"He is a friend…one of us."

Roamed around for research
Of Incas to El Che…

Met many of "First Hands"
Who lived, fought for a cause
And landlords and Collas…
Also joined the ones who
Meant to cut Santa Cruz.

Now, hear: "Morales
Has left for asylum
In land of Zapata…"

Why have I lived so long?
Why did I see so much?
Why to live further on?
Why suffer for no cause?
When world is a shit pot! ! !

Being a part of society and keeping memories is good habit. This poem is very brilliantly penned with much care and skill.10
