Ex Nihilo - Poem by Michael Radigan

In the beginning
Was a small speck of rubbish.
It just exploded.

Doubtless a prankster
Wanted to see fireworks.
Fun, blowing things up.

Damned crazy Logos:
Shooting hot debris at night.
Hell of a racket.

Yes, the light shone forth
Screaming in the darkness; sure,
Space-time was on fire.

What were you up to then,
Hashem, Allah, Kyrie?
Was the joke funny?

If you could see us,
If you could hear what we say,
Would you laugh or cry?
