Experiments In Haiku - Poem by Shirley Spycalla

Inhale sweet spring air
And the morning rooster struts
Eyeing the fat hen.

Silver grains of sand
Stretching along silver shores
While shy pebbles hide.

Hot tea and crumpets
All dressed in proper attire
Exuding disdain.

Tiny tree frogs sing
Welcoming the velvet night
Soon adorned by stars.
