Fabrizio's Sun Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Fabrizio's Sun

All it took was a look from her eyes
His blood boiled
Quick caricatures of perfection captured in the way her lips arched
The sun was mild that day
Leisure of the thoughts kept at bay ran rampant as he felt the heat rise from her skin
In the sunlight her cheeks painted a rose red
As she'd tilt her hat
the brim slightly hid her stare
As in his eye, the perfect panorama of the flaws he sought as perfect
Toiling beautiful speeches of silence spaced between her giggles
The luxury that grew misunderstood as hands found their home in one another
Eyes noticed the fluttering of their hearts
Exhaling the breath of each other
All it took was a look from her eyes
Hungrily inviting the next phase of forever in the delicate light that shone beneath the heavens
