Faded Flower Poem by Alc Harris

Faded Flower

Rating: 5.0

Take down the wind chimes you hung in the hall
To catch our dreams lest they fall
Take down the pictures and sit here a while
With beautiful faces beautiful smiles
Wrap up the promises that couldn’t be held
Fragile reminders of what was dispelled
Wrap up tomorrow where hope had once dwelled
Just leave them here, where my heart fell
Pack up the stars, pack up the moon
For the sun has set far too soon
And all that is left is the emptiness
Of faded flowers on a wedding dress
