Family Jewels Poem by Samantha Ashley

Family Jewels

Rating: 5.0

The diamonds you gave me,
I threw in the ocean today.
Your glittering excuses,
I gave them away.
Carelessly I tossed,
your shining apologies, your baubles of despair.
Oh daddy, daddy.
Was forgiveness something you expected me to wear?
