Far Away - Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

I have written this poem in my own website in 2007

Far Away
Dearest One I tell you this
It is so far away from Home
yet so nearby my heart
I feel the rain on your head
the cooled water in your heart
I see your gentle smile
just for a while
then you turn to be sad again
will I see you smile again?
as lovely as I've ever seen?
Time has come to us
I can tell you this, it's a bliss
so far away from Home
yet nearby my heart
I know the taste of the cooled water then
especially at midnight time
to know you, to smile at me, is no crime...

Distance does not exist when love creates a bond.

Your poem has a touch of sadness, loneliness and yet hope and happiness.
One of your oldest poetry perhaps, but one that deserves a spotlight on it.

It is so far away from Home but this is dearer and nearer to heart. Cool water flows to give gentle smile as stream flows in Earth. Lovely verse smiles in heart and mind. This is bliss so far from home but this bliss is again near mind and affection. This has tender touch of affection. Wonderful poem is shared here again.10 (Report) Reply
