Happy Father's Day, Daddy,
wherever you are!
I've no idea where that is,
but hope it isn't far!
I've thought of you all day,
but couldn't write to you.
I also had no way to call,
and I've been feeling blue.
Dad, I forgave you years ago
for running out on Mom.
I wish I could have told you so
and still have kept my calm.
I used to hate the thought of you
and how you did reject
us both and run away, but now
I wish we could connect.
I wonder if you have a wife,
perhaps another kid.
I'd welcome brothers, sisters too.
Oh, how I wish you did!
I think you would be proud of me
if you knew what I do.
I do some things most others can't,
and to my friends I'm true.
I hope you can enjoy this day
with steak and caviar,
and think of me, please, wherever
and whoever you are.
This tugs at my heartstrings, Ronnie! Nobody does that better than you do!
I hope you can enjoy this day with steak and caviar, and think of me, please, wherever and whoever you are..........beautiful tribute poem on Father's Day shared; pleasure to read
