Father's Voice Poem by Anne Yun

Father's Voice

Rating: 4.3

when he hid me under an umbrella
i heard the bearfooted rain teasing on his shoulder
that was my father's voice

when he waited me in those past winter
i heard the fluttering snow laughing at a hidden summer
that was my father's voice

now he tells me his great honor
i hear the passing years singing in the eyes of a father
that is my father's voice

now he dreams about another year
i hear the coming dramas playing under the pen of a daughter
that is also father's voice
