A feather of a dove had seized
a summer breeze
My swelling breath had ceased
its seconds' long
she wagged her head and gazed
at what she lost
then flew to me in her daze
walked, to my sense
then flew to me in her daze walked, to my sense..... beautiful expressions my dear poetess. you were always original in your poems....... thank you very much.

Doves' gaze has innocence.A lovely write, thanks for sharing.
This is a poem of loss and the beginning (I hope) of recovery. Each of the two line segments lasts only a few seconds; the whole poem probably occurs in about 12 seconds. That timing is important because it shows there's no time to think this scene through, to make intellectual sense of it. Things happen so fast - one moment you are the observer, then next a participant, finally the main actor because the dove is too dazed for action and besides it seeks comforting from you. You can't replace what's lost but you can offer comfort. I take this poem to be symbolic because if you replaced the dove with a human being, you'd have a poignant drama.
I love Misty Feelings, they're an integral part of lyric poetry. For the past two days there is a mist lying over the lake and island across from my apartment. Nature provides the mist, I provide the feelings, the reader the imagination, a poem is born!
A poignant drama! Yes, indeed. I wrote this because i was observing the doves through my window, they were like innocent young girls. The theme 'affinity and love' came to me as irony and humor at that time, but found the poem has its misty feeling, the added theme can provide readers a tendency to imagine.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
