Father-special figure

Yes, he was towering personality
stood high in the eyes of everybody
but never lacked zeal as an individual
to turn each and every table

in poverty, he stood like a rock
never allowed anything to turn out of stock
we were not made to suffer
but provided means with the kind offer

what made him staunch devotee?
for the cause to be free
but not let any opportunity to pass
and proved his class

we looked at his tiresome effort
but never reported
any remorse or repentance
but came out with an option at once

such things made him here at home
we always stood at the gate and welcomed
took his care and offered water
he will relax and call us one by one later
