Feel The Fear (And Do It Anyway) Poem by Paula Glynn

Feel The Fear (And Do It Anyway)

Why do you run away?
You need to feel the fear and do it anyway!

Life is not scary, and it is not boring,
Life should be celebrated and enjoyed,
No one is out to get anybody,
And if they are, don't make it your problem,
Just do things your way, and see things your way,
Feel the fear and do it anyway!

Go out with your friends at night,
Do fun stuff in your free time,
Go to the cinema, go bowling, go out to pubs and cafe's,
Be a wise person of the world and don't be scared to be yourself,
Get out of bed every morning and feel happy when you get to work,
Don't let yourself hurt and feel the fear and do it anyway!

Be brave, wise and strong and you won't go wrong,
Be glad to be alive and make the most of your strength and pride,
For you are worth a mountain of gold, so believe it!
And feel the fear and do it anyway!

Go on holiday, catch that train, fly that plane,
Or even just go to the seaside,
And see all those wonderful people who celebrate the world,
For the world isn't a bad place:
It is only your attitude that makes it so,
So forget the lies your mother told you:
You are your own person, you are your own design,
And it is up to you to make it happen,
So feel the fear and do it anyway!

Go out to nightclubs with your friends,
Talk to new people and dance to fun music,
And feel the fear and do it anyway!
