Feeling The Loss Of Love Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Feeling The Loss Of Love

Colored lights bursting with sound, invisible instruments playing
everyone's hearts and souls, tempting musical notes and tones from under the blankets where they're hidden from sight.

There's nothing to be done, there's no reason or logic to anything
this side of what used to be a full life of tacit promises and beauty.

For those of us who have felt the loss of love as it scraped and struck our hearts, leaving nothing to remain, no reminders at all
of our love since you are gone and there's no hope left to hold onto.

Moods of yesterday can no longer be moved into the light, always
straining now to see a particle of tomorrow without you my dear,
it no longer keeps the being of life any more.
