Fidel Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Fidel

Fidel

For decades
We stood our ground.

We were aim and target
You blamed and you lied.

Now, at last
We sit as equals.

Thanks to you we zigzagged
Don’t think of going back.

Our fight for freedom
Was dear; will remain.

Not quite sure what this piece means to say. Is it pro or con the great man? Political freedom must never be confused with freedom to consume.
