Fields Of Sound Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Fields Of Sound

Tiptoeing through fields of sound, letting them tease and
tickle mind and intellect alike with love, caring and com-
passion, tending to needs of others throughout life.

Hoping that everyone can do the same for others, bringing
about a radical change all over this world, cheering up
the despairing, bringing a smile to saddened faces.

Those living in poverty with no hope, living hand to mouth
day to day, children crying in bed at night, parents wonder-
ing how in the world they will feed their children.

Trying to take care of them in this feckless life of poverty,
knowing that there will be no one to help or lend a hand, its
up to them to do what they can for their families.

Alone and totally spent, energy gone through worrying and fret-
ting for their beautiful families, finally falling asleep in a
void of poverty.
