Fifteen Minutes Of Fame - Poem by Colin Coplin

What would you give, to be in the eye of the storm
Centre of attention, king of it all
What would you give, to be the eye of the storm
To ride the high tide, until it falls

Everybody wants a shot, at 15 minutes, of fame
Empires rose and fell, on 15 minutes of fame
People built monuments, to 15 minutes of fame
Some become immortal, with 15 minutes of fame

But you and I, we want more, we want it all
For united we stand, or, divided we fall

Time and space are ageless, while truth goes on, and on, and on, and on

What would you give, to be in the eye of the storm
Where beauty is eternal, and angel saints are born
So tell me what it's like, to be in the eye of the storm
Those who know, want nothing more

Everybody wants a shot, at 15 minutes, of fame
Some are changed forever, after 15 minutes of fame
While Others are simply chained, to 15 minutes of fame
People remember your name, with 15 minutes of fame

But you and I, we want more, we want it all
For united we stand, or, divided we fall

Space and time are ageless, while truth goes on and on, and on, and on
For united we stand, or divided we fall

Everybody wants a shot, at 15 minutes, of fame
