Fighting The Demon Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Fighting The Demon

I've faced the worst with shoulders back,
my head held high,
an honest lack,
Of courage,
for inside I'm shaking,
But somehow yes i always make it.
I've faced the panic,
So many times,
It's tried to knock me out of line,
Refuse to throw the towel in,
Now that would only mean one thing.
To lose the battle,
means i failed,
Those panic attacks won't go away,
If i give up,
They'll win again,
I'll face you whilst i count to ten.
Diminish every fearful thought,
For life has been a lesson taught.
Stand tall,
Don't give it any reason,
Its tough,
but you can face the demon.
